2025 Seniors! What a Year it was.

2025 was probably our busiest year to date. I started this business back in 2005, and by 2007 I experienced a huge boom in newborn sessions. Fast forward to 2025… and so many of those babies are now seniors.

This past spring, I really tried to soak in every moment—watching them grow into incredible young adults, laughing with them, and reconnecting with parents I hadn’t seen in years. It was equal parts surreal and special.

I also photographed my own son this year, which was hands down my hardest shoot to date. Not because it made me sad—but because my kids hate having their photos taken. I always offer to let someone else do it, and I always get the same response: “I don’t want anyone else to do it, because I know I won’t like it.” That one always leaves me shaking my head.

What I learned in 2025 is that I’ve found a newfound love for senior portraits… just not of my own kids 😉

Cheers to 2026—I can’t wait to photograph even more seniors and continue being part of these full-circle moments.
